El Alcázar de Segovia

It was raining when we went to visit Segovia's castle.  We're currently in the midst of the rainiest winter/spring that Segovia has had since 1946; if it ever dries out I'll go back and take some pictures of the outside of the castle.  The castle's claim to fame, other than being one of the seats of los Reyes Católicos, Isabel and Fernando, is that it was one of the inspirations for Disney's Cinderella Castle.

We were told that this is a special sight right here; the thrones of the king and queen are on the same level, signifying that they rule together under God, instead of the queen sitting underneath the king.

The view from the top of the tower was incredible.
